Fees.
Every trade on every coin pays a 2.00% creator fee. Buys pay it on the BNB sent; sells pay it on the gross BNB out. The FeeRouter splits it in the same transaction:
0.50% roots → Roots.deposit(coin) 25% of the fee, never less
0.50% rootstock → rootstockPot: buy + burn $ZKBNB
0.20% operator → treasury 10% of the fee, never more than 20%
0.80% deployer's choice → creator / wallet / HolderRewards.pot / DonationRotator.potBounds
The admin can change the shares, but only within limits written into the FeeRouter: the roots share can never go below 25% of the fee, the treasury share can never go above 20%, and the four shares must add up to 100%. The 2.00% fee itself is a constant in the Launchpad and in every coin contract, so nobody can change it.
$ZKBNB does not pay this fee. It was launched on Flap, not on zkBNB, and trades with Flap's 2% buy and 2% sell tax instead: half to the creator wallet, half to $ZKBNB holders in ZEC, after Flap's own fees. See Tokenomics.
Where each part goes
- Roots are deposited into the coin's vault at once. If the admin has paused a coin's roots, that share goes to a fixed recovery address while paused. The BNB already in the roots is not affected. See Roots.
- Rootstock collects in one pot for the whole platform and is spent on $ZKBNB buybacks, on Flap or PancakeSwap. The tokens bought go to the dead address. See the flywheel.
- Operator BNB is sent to the treasury, a public address listed under Addresses.
- Deployer's choice is sent to the creator or a named wallet on every trade, or added to the coin's holder-reward pot, or to its ring's pot.
If sending BNB to the creator or a wallet fails (a contract that rejects BNB, for example), it is held as pending for that address to withdraw later. A failed send never blocks a trade.
After graduation: the pair-tax
On PancakeSwap there is no Launchpad to take the fee in BNB, so the coin takes it in tokens. Every buy or sell through the pair leaves 2% of the tokens in the coin contract. Anyone can call sweepTax to swap them to BNB, which is then split exactly as above.
- The keeper sweeps a coin once its tax is worth at least 0.02 BNB.
- Sweeps by anyone else are limited to 1% of the pair's token reserve per block, so the swap cannot be sandwiched for more than dust.
- Some aggregators and trading bots handle fee-on-transfer tokens poorly. Set enough slippage, or trade on zkBNB.
Other fees
- Launching a token: 0.005 BNB, to the treasury.
- Registering a donation cause: 0.002 BNB, to the treasury. It keeps spam out of the registry.
- The shielded pool has no protocol fee. You pay gas.
These are the defaults. The current values are read from the contracts on Create and Donate.
